Memories of 2012
2012 have passed by..
What a fantastic timeline i have in this years
full with joy and remarkable memories
Memories should be recalled to bring back our spirit
That's why i decided to record my highlights of 2012 timeline
Let me rewrite my timeline according to month:
January: Studying of foundation in sciences in PALAM for my second semester. Same as always, sit on the last back row in lecture hall, either on the left or right.
February: Nothing much the same. Muet results came out and its band 3 and asked for recheck and now its band 4 :)
March: Class Trip to Malacca. What a memory! especially riding on the boat along the Malacca River. Then, Study week, join my study group of 5 people (Me, Aiman, Zarith, Zul, Fiza)
April: Final exam! The end of PALAM's life. I planned a trip to Sunway Lagoon with my classmates of Jejaka E6 which is a 8 boys gang, but in the end, we couldn't make it. Then, its goodbye PALAM :'( Then on 6/4/2012..i lost my grandfather, what is more sad, when he take his last breath, i was there at the hospital, holding his hand. Al-Fatihah. May Allah bless you and forgive all your sins.
May: My full foundation results came out. Second semesters result have some problems but luckily overall is still 4.00. I'm qualified to apply for medicine in Indonesia, but i'm not interested. My 1st Interview experience with MyBrainSc on 20th May.
June: Trip to UK with my family, i'm the project organizer for booking flights, hotels, and activities. Have been planned for about 2 months back. Currently, the best moment i have with my family.
July: Got my scholarship offer from MyBrainSc. But it state that it is only for pure science stream. Try to find a place in Royal Holloway University of London, but didn't manage to get it because it is already late. Applied for many other scholarships like JPA, Tun Rahah Scholarship Fund, Yayasan Bank Rakyat and etc.
August: Got an offer to UKM, degree in Statistics. Try to get the approval from MyBrainSc, because i don't get the pure maths field. Still get the scholarship. Alhamdulillah. Prepare for my degree's life for 3 years.
September: The beginning of my life in UKM. Welcome! Meet many new friends here especially in class.
The only one i knew is Ije my former lecturemate and Fawwaz my schoolfriend's lecturemate, both from PALAM.
October: Got my 1st scholarship money from MyBrainSc. Spend it with my family in Ikea, eating meatballs. Then, my 1st trip from UKM, trip to Terengganu. Wonderful experience of snorkeling for the 1st time in my life and do some charity works with disable children, which is very sad and memorable.
November: Nothing much, what i remember is its raya holiday and i visit my hometown in Muar. Then, back to UKM. I also remember there is an event that is Entrepreneur @ KAB, which i work for 3 different stalls for 5 days. That is under Sekretariat Kerohanian, Kelab Bmart and Zafree Individual Game stall. My first time in playing the PS3, and then i've to keep it for 2 weeks as Zafree had something to do and he is not going home. Too much time waste here, playing games..
December: The month of excitement. Full of outing, from KLCC to Sunway Pyramid to Alamanda an many others. Have my 1st ice skating experience in Sunway. Know more deeper about of my friends and being closer in relationship together. Lastly, its study week..and i started to get serious on 24/12/12 where i started to go to the library and its cool and fun. Started on that day, i decided to study at the library everyday throughout my exam weeks.
Overall: My life in 2012 have been fantastic. Thanks to Allah for everything good that happened. For everything bad and sad, i will bring my spirit back and fight for the better me in the future. Let us pray for a better year of 2013 will be. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

i got interview for mybrainsc scholarship..
ReplyDeletecan you please share interview tips and wahat kind of question they would ask ;)
1st of all i would like to congratulate you for getting the MyBrainSc interview :)
ReplyDeleteHere some tips:
. Come to the place of interview wearing appropriate clothes.
. Be CONFIDENT to answer the questions.
. If they ask a fact question and you don't know, just admit that you don't know rather than guessing.
. If they are asking for opinion, answer it confidently and smoothly, just say anything and everything you think.
. During the interview, you will be divided by your core science subjects and be interviewed by three/four people at once.
. Be sure to increase your knowledge about your applied subjects like maths, chemistry, physics and biology.
. For e.g: in Maths like me, i get question like "If you are given RM1,000,000, how do you spend the whole amount in one year?" I just explained about 4 million to invest in stock markets, 4 million in buying lands and make plantations and 2 million for good deeds like building mosque and orphanage house.
. From my friend who taking chemistry, they ask simple question like "Describe water" Be sure to give longer answer rather than just a short question. They are looking for people who can talk well.
. Be sure to give responses in every questions you been asked and try to elaborate more about your answer.
. Please be reminded that you can answer in BM or BI, but don't mixed it up. For me, if the interviewer ask in BI, its better for you to answer in BI.
That's all that I can help, and the last important reminder: PLEASE COME TO THE INTERVIEW.. for sure you will get the scholarships like all my friends do. And remember to apply the appropriate courses in your degree later, otherwise it will be a real waste.
Seriously, this scholarship is the best in Malaysia, even me turned down the JPA scholarship later.
Good luck and be free to ask again :)
Thank you for your tips. I also got the interview. Thank you again. :)
ReplyDeleteHi, I got mybrain sc scholarship. So this 22nd June I will attend my interview, but...I want to ask u a question.
ReplyDeleteHow to apply overseas university? After get the offer from KPT or ...no chance already? Huhu.
sorry
Hi, sorry for late reply. I believe your interview is over. If you really want to apply overseas, yes, you still have a chance. But, the hard thing is, all the application is your responsibility. You choose which university, send either a direct email on your own or you can find some overseas application agents in Malaysia which may be helpful, but its hard to find one. What's important is your qualification. I don't know much for a qualification in A-levels, IB or equivalance. But, if you are from Matriculation/Foundation(UM or UiTM), its harder to get one. Still, I have a friend who study at University of Sheffield, UK after matriculation. He said that most UK universities not approve these qualification, but there are some. Perhaps, you can find more easily in Australia, like University of Melbourne like my another friend get one. Its hard to know where to apply, how to apply, and the procedures of getting one. So, I suggest you to find an agent to help you. But, about the timing, end of June.. I can say, it it almost impossible to get one. Perhaps, you can wait for local universities. That is the best option for this timing. Good luck
ReplyDeleteHello there. I'm JW Sim here. I'm a STPM leaver and I'm interested in applying for this scholarship.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the website, the required field is pure science (sains tulen), including physic, biology, chemistry and mathematics.
So, I'm just curious whether the courses below are considered as pure sciences?
--> Bachelor of Engineering?
--> Bachelor of Computer Science?
Or just only can apply for Bachelor of Science?
Thank you very much!
